In the battle field either you avoid hitting tesla or shoot them. You should not go closer to the range of the turret because they will shoot deadly rays on your tank when you come in their range (their range is of 3 tiles). The shield in the game will be protecting you through out the game. Try to shoot the turrets from the distance.
